May 20 th 2005 Monte Spertoli (Florence) - Appear an odd-looking crop formation.
The day 23 of May it is signalled to the Academic Ufologic Group Scandicci (G.a.u.s.). On the place immediately arrive the president Lorenzo Carli and the scientific advisor Andrea Barucci (thanks to whom we can quote the following infos and pics).
The field of wheat is found along the road that connects Ortimino to Empoli. At first sight it introduces itself as formed by enormous stains of dejected wheat, that results folded up, but not up to earth. The stains have various dimensions, from some meter up to 20-30 meters; conider that in the adjacent field we have found 2 small formations of the diameter of 1-2 meters, intact to the appearance, without paths to enter inside the circles. The ears show the signs of the "gravitropismo" (natural process in which the ears continue to grow among the sunlight even when folded up) to the knots, this is a fact that has to make us think on the method used for establishing if a crop circle is genuine or less. In our opinion the crop is of natural origin: probably the wind with his famous "dust devil."
