After one year of silence, Montegranaro returns to the center of attentions thanks to a new crop circle appeared on June 18 in a field of wheat.
The following article is drawn out from the daily paper “Il Messagero Adriatico” of June 23 rd 2005:
“After one year of break they have returned and there is who mobilizes with reliefs and aerial photos. Circles in the wheat, pay attention to possible jokers”.

MONTEGRANARO - Mysterious circles in the wheat appeared to "Cura Mostrapiedi": attention to the jokers. The alarm is launched by Fabiana Fiatti, coordinator for the local C.U.N., the maximum Italian organ in subject of UFO. After one year of break they have returned. It deals with two concentric circles, the greatest has a diameter of 36 meters, inside it there is a smaller 6 meters diameter circle. The wheat is folded up to earth and everything would make to think about the famous 'crop circles'. Immediately the mayor of Montegranaro Gianni Basso, impassioned of Ufo, has mobilized and effected reliefs and aerial photos. "To the 99 percent it deals with a joke or forgery - has explained Drs Fiatti - there are some well precise criterions that these circles have to respect". An advertising studied to attract the attention of the media, as happened in the last years? It seems really so. First of all because the crops circles are isolated and never next to paths and to other fields. There is then a small detail that however could help to understand the key of everything. The circle would have appeared last Saturday night. Also in Saturday was the discovery of crop circles two years ago. Other question: why it always happens when the wheat is to be reaped? The studies say that the field has to be green. "A joke": this way Drs Fiatti defines things like that.”

The pictogram in object, has probably appeared in the night of Saturday 18 last. The circle smaller outside measure around 6 mt. of diameter, while the diameter of the most greater around 36 mt. The inside form appears helical and the perimeter reminds the shape of a sort of lunar scythe. The external circle is connected to the greater one by a "corridor", while to enter the central circle you can pass through both an opening (caused by an interruption of the perimeter) and two "corridors" on the perimeter.
