(We apologize for possible errors in the translation) CROP CIRCLE IN OFFIDA (Ascoli Piceno) - The concentric crop circles has recalled in country ufologists and curious. However, yesterday the field has been threshed and every proof has gone destroyed. The mystery of the crop circles continues: Friday they appeared in the countries of Offida. Joke or still unknown phenomenon? Policemen also investigate, because they have received a report against unknown from the owner of the field, for the suffered damages. Perhaps the answer will never come, because the combine harvester yesterday afternoon has mowed every thing. The strange circular form, that extended itself along a diameter of around 36 meters, behind a hill in the street Lava ("Ponticelli" zone), had been for two days well visible along the road that brings to Offida from Appignano. Two perfectly concentric circles: the interested ears appeared counterclockwise expanses in continuous sense. But in the late afternoon of yesterday the combine harvester has passed inexorable on the crop, eliminating them as a rubber. With big disappointment of whom had hastened, also from out province, to observe the strange phenomenon. The news of the recovery in fact had instigated the curiosity of everybody, provoking a sort of pilgrimage on the place, extended up to the late night of Friday and for all yesterday's day. It has immediately been spoken of the famous «crop circles» recorded all over the world. Here the people, after all, is not new to these events, already in 2003 nearby Montegranaro five formations were found on the wheat and researchers arrived from every part of Italy to try to find a reasonable explanation. In every case the owner of the field has suffered huge damages to the crop. Ufo or not, he now complains the reimbursement, and the curious do not have facilitated the things, if then he has immediately decided progress to the threshing. The first person to notice this phenomenon was the owner of the field himself. Immediately thinking to a joke, on Friday at 6 o'clock morning, he has told the family. Some neighbors affirm not to have felt any suspicious noise in the preceding night, except an extraordinary bark of dogs. "they have barked strong and for different time, they were excited but we did not realized the reason" - has told an inhabitant of the zone. The investigations have departed for the report picked up by the Policemen of Offida that the owner has done against unknown. Among the hypotheses there is obviously that of a well organized joke. After the initial recognition of the first forenoon of Friday, there would have been found the signs of a stamping behind the field that would make to think about the presence of different people. Some ears were visibly broken. But the hypotheses could also be interpreted in controversial way. The «unknown jokers» could have used ropes to draw the circle during the night, «combing» then the wheat using the same ropes in tension, or using some wood tables («the same as moving a compass»). For the ufologists and the impassioned ones of the mysterious phenomenons, everything could be reported to the action of some Ufos or to a magnetic phenomenon of extraordinary power. There are not, after all, ocular witnesses that can declare to have seen some suspicious people, rather, some affirm not to have noticed anybody trace that reveals the boast. Jokingly the mayor of Offida has commented: «We still don't have in town an errand with delegation to the Ufos». Certainly the enigma stays: how is it possible, in an only night, and in the dark, to do so perfect circles, pressing the wheat without being noticed by anybody?
