June, 8, 2005: in Sala Baganza, near Parma, is discovered a new crop circle. The news quickly spreads, also on the local press. The underlying article is quoted from “PolisQuotidiano.it”, the on-line daily paper in Parma: “Sala Baganza, earth of alien” In the summer 2004 they stopped in Panocchia, but this year, perhaps attracted by the beauties of Rocca Sanvitale and from the Woods of Carrega, it seems that the Ufos have preferred to make a jump to Sala Baganza. The circles in the wheat sprouted Wednesday morning, for the one who believes it, could confirm this hypothesis, also because they have appeared really in front of the beautiful villa of Ferlaro. So the green little fellow (E.T.s.), could have decided to stop the spaceship in front of the sumptuous residence that was of the noble Carregas. The news has quickly spread, so much that yesterday morning the "habitués" of the plaza are transferred themselves in mass long the street of Montecoppe, where the road overhangs the field of wheat, theater of the prodigy. There is who reports to remember in the evening of Tuesday something strange in the air; there is who speaks of bundles of light and who, instead, believes it is the work of some jokers... or of some particularly fanciful wind. This last hypothesis arrives actually from the owner of the field which, after having uselessly tried to avoid that crowd stamped on the fruit of its sweat, has told that those circles would simply be the result of an eccentric nature: «Ufo? Absolutely no! There was a lot of wind Tuesday». In his opinion, therefore, there are no mysteries, but rather, the work of "Eolo" (God of the Wind) could have been helped by the fertilizer: «Manured earth is particularly fat-it continues the agriculturist - wheat grows heavy and to demolish it is enough a small gust. However I have never seen before circles like that». Giorgio Pattera, scientific responsible of the Cun (Italian National Ufologic Center), doesn't have doubts: «The signs are made by a human hand, exactly as is happened for those of Panocchia. I don't have any doubt about it:: wheat is folded up to level of the root, the knots are not thickened and lengthened and, above all, the ears do not present waveing». The wind? Pattera excludes it: «It happens that some atmospheric agents, rain and wind, could doodle some “Meteo crops” -he explains- but in this case they are too much regular». The phenomenon, beeing a joke or not, has enlivened the life of the country however: when it ever happens in Sala Baganza to see signals of extraterrestrial life? Yesterday in country everyone was speacking about it, and the inhabitants have been all togheter on the street for formulating hypothesis and explanations. Green dwarves, however, for now, they are not seen. The only one “Martian” disembarked in country is the cocktail that Marco Coruzzi, the holder of the cafe that leans out on the plaza has quickly invented for the occasion, waiting, perhaps, that someone, as happened to Panocchia last year, begins to stamp shirts and bonnets with the crop circle. But also the administrators, don't want starting today to take the risk to be unprepared to a possible “closer meeting”. Races the rumor that a committee of reception has been constituted, involving also the mayor... never say never! Gabriele Franzini. I thank Francesco Castagna (Ufologia.net), that has taken some photos to this formation and has written some profit informations, that follow: The diameter of today's formation is about 50 meters and to the inside are some "segments" arranged in absolutely precise and symmetrical way. I was informed about the presence of this formation thanks to the signaling of a colleague, that had transited with her car beside the crop in the first morning. I have approached on the place in the break lunch (fortunately was located just few hundred meters far from the firm in which I work), and inside the formation I have met some residents of the country fascinated by the discovery, but worried for the inevitable anger of the farmer. After some photo released in fact, the owner of the field has arrived with the tractor. I have tried to ask some question, but the farmer was too become rabid for answering me and busy to plant poster to tell not to stamp on the wheat. His house is on the other side of the road, to around 200 meters, with sight on the field. The observed ears didn't introduce neither knot's swelling, nor apparent anomalies. No electromagnetic troubles were found (the field is surrounded by pylons of the high voltage) and the length of the inside ears to the formation was similar to those present to the outside of the crop circle. The precision, even if unfortunately the aerial sight is not yet available, absolutely seems perfect. On the ground, also in proximity of the center, are present some very wide and deep cracks, where possible stakes could lodge without leaving traces. Besides in the back part to the two roads of access, we have a trace. Three passages toward the formation that crossed a vaguely circular area with the flattened wheat. Among the presents was rumored that some people would have said to have observed, toward the 4 o'clock in the morning, some whirlwind that seemed to ruin the field...
