(We apologize for possible errors in the translation) The newspaper “Il Tirreno”, Pisa edition, June 22nd 2004, at pag. 2, publish an article about this case: “Mysterious signs in a field; not extraterrestrial, but vandals. In the middle of a field of wheat, in Barbaricina, have been imprinted concetric circles. The crop got wasted.” - PISA. A sort of snail, or better a sort of "at", or "@", sign prince of the world of Internet, made of concentric circles. Nothing strange therefore that, to use it, have been these Martians that since some time rage in the whole province. But judging by the approximation of the circle, that doesn't seem at all to deal with any evolved civilization, we are in presence not of extraterrestrials but, as always, of some jokers that has a good time to waste the crops. A new concentric circle "Et-style" has appeared in fact yesterday morning in a field of wheat along the bank of the Arno, in the zone of Barbaricina. Near the so-called "social gardens", left to the good wish of whom has time and desire and it needs a piece of earth to work. The circles have been noticed yesterday by some passing ones along the river that precedes the bridge of the "Cep", and that partially coasts along "via delle Lenze". Not great circles - around ten meters of complessive diameter - and also enough badly done, completely different from those more perfect appeared, for instance, the 1st of the month in Orciano. Nothing to share therefore with the famous circles appeared in the Usa and that have given life to another contested work of Gibson, "Signs". Those found out in Pisa are proper "home-made" and awkward, clumsy, and would not have frighten anybody. The preceding crops of the zone, were last year in Cortona and then, more next to us, in Lorenzana. This year in Orciano and Pontedera, peasants became furious, not believing to extraterrestrials for an instant, also because there is who swears to have seen the imprints of a shoe (so peasants got armed with pitchfork and tried to send away from the fields little boys in motorcycle and any kind of curious). The whorl traced in the wheat would have been done with a roll brought there by hands, to not leave any trace, from who has evidently thought about the usual joke with which to make the impassioned of extraterrestrials go crazy . But yesterday, along the river Arno, the only ones to interest themselves in the case have been the victims that had worked so hard in the field of wheat, and that found this undesirable surprise and saw their work so frustrated. In the afternoon there has been also an investigation of the policemen of the station of "Porta a Mare". The article is signature of “C.V.” |
