A lot about the crop circle of Campolongo al Torre (Udine), appeared on June 24th 2004, is not known. A brief comment of Ufoitalia.net says that “according to us it is a work of art realized by Italian artists. A formation of good level but not yet comparable to the English masterpieces". We know something more thanks to Barbara Trevisan (ANSU collaborator). She went on the place to make some surveys. We quote her informations. “The sketch of the circle resulted rather eccentric, so we initially (as from suggestion given by another association that I won't mention), have held it a forgery... The circle in matter was composed by two circles (subsequently modified) that I will call: 1) circle "A". the greatest (13 meters of diameter); 2) circle "B", smaller (8,90 meters of diameter, whose form remembers that of a cat, or of a little devil). The circles "A" and "B" got two holes in the center, to confirmation of the fact that it could be a forgery. The ears of the circle "A" were some much squeezed and weaved that was difficoult to reach a single ear and to extract it from the ground. Some ears of the circle "A" resulted folded up in the knots (but not all) and they were dehydrated, but from the moment of the creation of the crop to the moment of some reliefs, had passed by now 10 days. On the ground there was no presence of bugs, probably because of the fertilizer. No internal or central tuft was present. The ears showed the usual folding of the crop circles, and we have to exclude the possibility that the sketch has created because of the air or the wind (unless the wind was intelligent and with strong artistic sense). Arrived inside the circle, one of the ufologists and me, we are felt badly there, strange thing considering that the crop would have had to be a forgery. Once gone out the discomfort have past, to restart to our reentry in the circle. The boy "L." felt a strong sense of nausea; while I accused tachycardia, nausea, fits of dizziness (psychosomatic symptoms?). I have extracted from the backpackthe my mobile phone, that I knew to be completely unloaded (the line was interrupted 10 minutes before, while I was talking to my husband, the telephone didn't give signs of life) and have I switch on it, succeeding in talking for about 5 minutes to the Vice-president of the ANSU, to ask instructions and to communicate some data. In the center and in the outside of the circle, the compass didn't mark notable variations, but we were not endowed with specific instrumentations. The farmer owner of the field, ser "A.C", has been interviewed in the day 4th of July, and he has released the sketch of the circle by his hands, drowing it on a sheet. The sketch on the wheat, instead, accorting to him, had subsequently been modified. The owner has reported us that on June 23rd, at 21,00 o'clock, returning home he had noticed that the field was intact, and the crop had been found the day later, by his son, around the 8.30 in the morning. During the nighttime hours, there are not been sighted lights in sky nor movements on the field. We have to keep in mind that on July, at around 4,30 o'clock, the light of the sun would have been able to allow the working-creation of the circle without using torches. I have picked up samples of ears in the center, in the half, and on the circumference of the circle "A" and "B"; I have also withdrawn samples of earth and seeds, dividing everything in marked pouches, respecting the recommended methodology. On the little road that brings to the field we have noticed two gutters for the harvest of the waters of irrigation. I have delivered the whole material to the president of the ANSU, Dr. Antonio Scarano. Ten days later, I have returned to visit the crop to take some other pics of it, but farmers were reaping the field. After some time I have approached with one of my friends (R.P.) in the field, to verify its state after the reaping. In the zone corresponding to the circle B the buds grew more thick and of clear color, the signs of the formation of the crop were still evident. The farmer, noticing movement, came to us and so my friend R. has continued with the interview. The farmer has confirmed the version of the facts. We have discovered that under the field it passes a water-layer, the gully of harvesting is around 20 meters deep. In that period the water would probably have reached an equal height to a quarter of the total of the depth. Wednesday July 28 th, around 22,00 o'clock, we wnt again in the field to take some photos there. In that circumstance I have been accompanied by D. Dellerba of the ANSU, by R.P. and hisr wife M. and also by my friend Luciano. We have taken photos from two different points: me in front of the ex crop (there was the almost full moon and they were noticed the signs of the crop B) and him some more meter before. Not having available anything else other than an automatic camera with 100 ASAs film sensibility, I have held the exposure to around 20 seconds. Once developed the photos is been possible to notice a sphere of light of white color. One friend of mine and I have elaborated the photos, and in his images result to be present more spheres in the field, invisible to the human eyes. I have considered only one among these, the greatest sphere that seems to be in movement. My brother-in-law has delivered it to an expert photographer, asking him to magnify the light, to the purpouse of excluding the reflection as one of the possible causes (my photographer had already declared that the hypothesis that dealt with dirt on the lens was to discard). Result: the photographer excludes the reflection with absolute certainty. It seems that new ears (cultivated by the same seeds harvests by me) grows folded up. Further investigations are in progress.” |
