Probably to the dawn of July 4 th 2004, a crop circle has risen in Desio (Milan). Perhaps the first testimony of this splendid formation, appeared near the aqueduct of Desio (hospital zone), it is that of Stephen Vergani, collaborator of the Operational Center of Researches on Paranormal (C.R.O.P.), that was on the place the 4th of July in the evening: “The scene was the usual one: crowd of curious (in the order of a pair of hundred, being a zone very trafficked) and 3 cars of the police that prevented the access to the field. We remained on the place for half an hour, trying to enter the field, trying to make photos and mixing us to that crowd that tried to make sense of what happened and proposing theories really of "the third type"! The represented symbol was a circle with a diameter of about thirty meters, containing a great crescent directed toward right (toward the aqueduct), a smaller crescent directed in the opposite verse, and a third more smaller crescent directed still toward right. I have walked around the whole field and noticed a small corridor (about twenty centimeters) that from a border side it directly reached the crop in the mean of the field. Truth or someone whom has made a joke? Unfortunately I have not been able to make a closer examinatation of the ears of wheat demolished and therefore to verify their interlacement, and also the photos with my portable phone, being evening, were really ugly… but I am sure that in the turn of few times they will surely be visible on some local newspaper; infact , some hour later, I already felt the news spread away by radio. Since the geometric perfection of the sketch, I don't believe that it deals with a "joke", also because I have not noticed corridors between the circle and the crescent and between the three crescents. So it occurs another mysterious fact, in the province of Milan, that leaves still our questions without a certain answer. That's all.” If nothing else, Vergani is certainly right about a thing: the news wide-spreads. The day later infact an article is already published, on the daily newspaper “Il Giorno”. The case seems to be really interesting, and on the place -together with the curious ones- approach some researchers of the phenomenon. The 5th of July the C.R.O.P. returns on the place, to make surveys and to pick up testimonies, in collaboration with Alfred Lissoni and Valentino Rocchi of the CUN (National Ufologic Center). Let's read what George Pastore reports: “From the picked data, the crop circle in matter seems really to be of "not human nature". Infact a strong electromagnetism has been found inside the circle, while on the edges the values was in the norm (for the exact values, refer to Alfredo Lissoni). There have been picked some ears that will be submitted to analysis, but anomalies as the folding of the tall part can already be found, due to a strong irradiation from some electromagnetic source. Instead, the ears around the field were straight-erect on their stem. Have also been taken important testimonies of the residents of the zone, as that of Mr. Marcello's P., that has told us to have seen, in the night of Friday 02 07 04, a strange light in sky, similar to a “slow falling star”. That light went down in parabolic movement, within time of one minute at the most, in direction of the field, and then suddenly disappeared. Some boys affirm to have seen a dark metallic object going down on the field, then launching (or droping) a bright ray on it for some instant, before quickly and silently leaving again toward the sky. But strange lights, between Friday and Saturday, have been sighted by a lot of other people. Above all, from the residents of the buildings around, which sustain that the circle in the wheat next to their house, has formed in the turn of few hours, maybe minutes. Anomalous behavior of the dogs of the zone and, since a couple of days, cellular phones that go crazy and don't work inside the circle, the battery of a moped suddenly dried up inexplicably the morning of Sunday, the black out of the condominium in front of the field… all elements that, together with the finished surveys, make us to believe that the crop circle of Desio could really be of alien matrix. We wait for the results of the analyses of the ears. Another curiosity: on some photos have appeared some ORBS, anomalous bright spheres. It could be due to the strong electromagnetism present in the crop circle" Below is a summary of the report made by Valentino Rocchi (for the Ufologic nationale Center): [...] The crop found on a field in Desio was puzzling: a great circle with the diameter of 36 meters containing others concentric circles clearly visible inside.. but it was not empty with the ears flattened on the ground.. in different points to the inside, the wheat had been standing, forming some "linked sod". It was a strange composition of circles that many have recognized as a symbol similar to the oriental "Tao". When me and Alfred Lissoni have arrived on the place (Monday July 5 th 2004 hours 14 around) the farmer had just ended to reap the wheat [...] the harvester had cut the whole wheat, but the flattened one had remained to earth.. evident sign that the pressure used for the crushing the ears was so strong that the ears have remained completely squeezed and and therefore the harvester has not even succeeded in cutting them down. Then we have positioned a "geiger analyser" for the radioactivity and a record of electromagnetic fields: the geiger has given negative result.. the electromagnetic field was instead present, and also strongly enough: from a value of 0,20 microtesla out of the circle, to a value of 0,67 microtesla few meters toward the inside.. on the outskirts of the greatest circle.. But the big surprises still had to come: on the place there were different people and some boys.. and many of them have seen the lights above that zone in the evening of Friday.. a counter of the electric energy is jumped.. and in fact there were also two "Enel" technicians come to restore it. [...] Other witnesses guarantee the declarations of the sig. Marcello P (see above) [...] The ears that were found to the inside were all "folded up" ...as if had been heated.. some were broken in more points.. others seemed shoals and you dehydrate.. evident sign that have been submitted to a strong pressure and to a source of heat. Also Alfred Lissoni doesn't miss to make to know his observations: [...] “Alien or human that was, who has realized the crop of Desio has done it in 30 minutes, 36 meters diameter for two concentric circles with the ears folded up in alternate clockwise and counterclockwise direction. The formation ad appeared to the dawn of Sunday 4 July, between the 7.30 and the 8, in a field of Desio, near a trafficked road. "How have they been able to realize a similar figure, in full day and without beeing seen by noone? [...] We have noticed the presence of a magnetic field. While the surrounding ground measured only 0,25 microTesla (0,20 are held the standard value), to the center of the formation the value was 0.67; by itself, this measurement didn't mean a thing, since can subsist many factors able to conventionally alter a magnetic field (for instance, iron presence in the ground); it was curious however that the values went decreasing from the center to the edges, actually to return normal out of the trace; we immediately thought it could depend on the near pylons of the high-tension, but there the value went down to just 0.38. Instead, despite various testimonies of strange sightings, the geiger didn't notice presence of radioactivity [...] The following day, on July 6th, an article also goes out on the "Corriere della Sera", Milan edition. Few days later arrive a curios information by the newspaper "Il Giornale di Seregno":the crop of Desio represents, exactly, the symbol of a Japanese firm, the Mitsui Knowledge Industry Co. of Tokyo, and it is on the cover of the book “World of logotypes” (The Trademark Encyclopedia) - edited from Cooper (USA). This news is also reported on the site ufoitalia.net October 20 th 2004: arrive the results of some analyses. Inside the crop circle has been found dust of meteorite.
