April 2004: San Gavino Monreale - Pabillonis (Cagliari)

In the first half of April 2004, between San Gavino and Pabillonis (Cagliari), is found a strange “sketch” on a field of grass. The first impressionis that it deals with an anomalous formation, probably due to meteorological phenomenons. The news nevertheless it circluates fast, and the Sardinian newspapers soon write about it. San Gavino. About ten curious person hasten in the zone to photograph the phenomenon. The Martians in the fields of wheat. Geometric figures along the road for Pabillonis. Aliens? Perhaps no, but it is dense the mystery on the wheat apparently crushed without any logic on the fields found along the provincial road that connects San Gavino with Pabillonis. It is enough to overcome the bridge to perceive a field that shows some unequivocal signs. It seems as the wheat had been stamped on, but without any apparent logic, because those that next June will become ears are folded up in different directions. There is already who thinks about the UFOs and who instead reamins sceptic The hypotheses are fascinating also because it would not be the first time that this zone of Sardinia is selected by extraterrestrial presences. Just last year in the period of the reaping, a few kilometers away, in the countries of Pabillonis, had made their appearance some incredible sketches in the wheat, that the experts call “Crop Circles”. But the phenomenon that is occurred in the countries of San Gavino doesn't even respond to this logic; they are not circles but some geometric figures with irregular form, whose length overcomes 50 meters with a maximum width of 10 meters and a height at least about 80 centimeters. The event doesn't pass unnoticed because the field is very visible from the main road. Curiosity is much and there is who stops for observing the phenomenon: «I don't believe have been the aliens - it underlines Guido Fadda of San Gavino - it could better gave been the rains of the last days to cause these sketches, even if I have to say that I still remember an episode of which I have been witness 35 years ago». The story become impassioned: «It was one afternoon in winter, perhaps December, with some friends to the feet of the hill of Monreale, when suddenly we have seen an intense light, with the shape of a flying disk, the light was very intense indeed and lasted some second. All we have seen the same intense light, but we have been afraid. Instead some days ago I have seen a white light that has crossed the sky, maybe a falling star». The same as Guido Fadda, they are so many in the zone the impassioned ones of astronomy, ufology and paranormal. «It was 20 years ago, but I can't forget. I was in Muravera with two friends of mine - it tells an employee of Guspini that wants to maintain the anonymity - when suddenly I have seen a strong light that seemed to come straight to me. I have been afraid and I hidden myself in my car. I wanted to make a report of what happened, but then I have thought that I could have misunderstood or considered crazy». Certainty there could be the action of some joker or of the so called "circlemakers" that is multiplied to excess in the last times, but previously nothing cannot be excluded. «The phenomenon doesn't surprise me - says Stefano Salvatici, president of the association "Non solo Terra", whose job consist in trying to spread the culture on the extraterrestrial civilizations - because also in past phenomenons of that kind are occurred in the same zone.
